Problem with Trigger - Sending out numerous emails at once

Hoping to get some help on this one!

I have a new campaign which is triggered on specific activies in Salesforce (leaving a voicemail)

There are 4 emails on the chain:

  • After the first activity is registered with the subject, "Voicemail", Email one goes out.
  • The second email is triggered when another "Voicemail" is left, the person HAS received email 1, but hasn't received emails 2, 3, or 4.
  • Email 3 is similar but is sent after another voicemail if the person HAS received emails 1 and 2 but not 3 or 4
  • Email 4 Is sent out when another voicemail has been left and they've received the first 3 emails.

I've run into a problem where email 1 works properly and then emails 2, 3, and 4 go out ALL at once when the second voicemail is being left. Any thoughts??

Agree.

Sounds like there are 4 trigger flows and the filters aren't setup right in addition that they all trigger on the second voicemail.

Would suggest a different setup, possibly batch flows for all 4 or at least 2,3,4.

Hi Paul,

The way you describe worries me. If the second email is triggered when another voice mail is left, then it should be a different smart campaign with a trigger that enables to distinguish it from the first voice mail. But you write that you have "a new smart campaign". Only one ?

Pls provide screenshots of the smart list, flow and schedule tab of your smart campaigns.
