Problem Matching Owner terms between Marketo and Salesforce

I am having a problem sending out marketing emails from the correct owners. I need to send out emails from our Contact Owners in Salesforce, which apparently aligns with Lead Owner in Marketo, but the Smart List function in Marketo only offers the option of sending out from  Sales Owners, not Lead Owners. Can anyone shed some light on this?
