Possible to sync to SF sandbox after syncing to SF production instance?

Is it possible to sync a Marketo instance with a Salesforce sandbox after the Marketo instance has been synced with a Salesforce production instance? To switch it?  Or does that fall under this situation: "Once you sync a Marketo instance to an SFDC org they are paired for good, it's not possible to switch your Marketo sandbox to sync with another SFDC org."

Hi Jennifer, from what I've been told it's the situation that you mentioned... once synced, always synced. They *might* be able to unsync you, but I've also been told that might not work very well.

Yes, you need a new Marketo instance if you want to sync to a different SFDC instance. Only when you refresh a SFDC Sandbox, you can keep using the same Marketo instance.

When you have a new Marketo instance, the assets of the old instance can be copied over to the new instance, but NOT the Leads and activity history.
