Pictures hosted in Marketo vs hosted outside: any difference?

Hi,

So far we have been hosting all our visual in Marketo. Our new webmaster is starting to host visuals on website. I would like to have all our visuals in one place, sorted and accessible by anybody from marketing. Before migrating all our visuals on website, I would like to know if the hosting place makes a difference (in terms of tracking for instance) or it doesn't matter.

We have a few landing pages' images hosted outside of Marketo and it makes no difference that I can tell.

It doesn't matter at all for tracking purposes.

The only thing to be sure of is that where ever you do host the images and files that it will serve them up quickly.
