Phasing out old templates

Hi!

We have 8 templates that have somehow stopped working correctly (on mobile). We've decided it'd be better to move forward with our newer set of templates anyways. However, the old ones are used for around 190 emails (in our nurtures, etc). Is there any easy way to go about this?

I would think we'd want new separate templates created, not edits, so that we don't have a billion drafts. But is there any trick to replace these old templates? The designer is using the same tags and made the body text one field... is there any way to swap them out?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Kim

Hi Kim,

There is no special trick to fixing these, you need to update the existing templates and approve each email. I am not 100% sure they fixed the issue with erasing email text, so test this first on an email you do not care about.

Thanks, Josh.

Yes, unfortunately someone edited these without my approval the other month and the text did get wiped on the emails that were in draft mode. So I obviously need to approve all of these first. But in this case since I want to turn 8 templates into 4... I'd have to just re-create lots of these emails :(
