Permissions for program templates assets & campaigns

Hi,

I would like to find out whether there is an option for me to create program template as an administrator, and allow the users to only clone the template and it's contents (assets, campaigns etc.), but not edit any of these within the original template i created as the admin.

    Hi @Inbal Karny ,

    Unfortunately there is no option in Marketo Admin to prevent edits only to a specific program template. If a person can make edits to programs and assets, then by default they would have access to the program templates.

    This is something that would need to be managed and monitored. I would suggest to create a separate folder for COE where the programs templates and assets are used only for cloning and communicate the same to the team to avoid any confusions! Additionally in certain cases, some of my clients have also created an entire workspace by the name of COE and restricted access for that workspace so that there is at least a back up of the original program templates.

    Hi Karan,

    Thanks for your quick response.

    We already created a dedicated folder for Program Templates and communicating to our users all the time to clone the programs and not edit them. However, this is still not enough, as they still keep doing so…☹

    If there would be a way to prevent users from editing the program templates, and allowing them only to clone them, that would be superb ☺

    If you come up with a better suggestion, please let me know.
