Overlaying text and buttons on top of images

Hi there.  We have been using email templates 2.0 for a little while now, and are currently wanting to update our template.

My developers are telling me that it isn't possible to overlay text or buttons on top of an image, but I'm sure I have seen this at a recent demo of the new template capabilities.

Please can someone shed any light on this and maybe provide a link to the relevant documentation? I have been looking in the guide in Marketo to no avail.

Hi Sarah,

Yes, it is possible, and Marketo Starter templates are providing some illustrations. If they do not know how to do it, may be you should turn to another source for your templates

there are some good solutions and providers in the launchpoint. Start with Hoosh and Knak.
