Outlook calendar tokens - new outlook - issues

Anyone else having issues with new outlook + calendar tokens? We have launched a new webinar series. We use velocity script that puts relevant calendar tokens into the registration confirmation emails and some registrants are having problems accessing. We have not had this issue before with outlook 'classic'.

 

Is there another option for calendar tokens and the new outlook that we should try?

A few questions that may help diagnose the issue:

  • When you say people are having trouble accessing, what does that mean? Are they getting errors when they click the link? Are the files not downloading?
  • When you say "new Outlook" is this the desktop app, the browser version, or both?
  • Are there any other similarities between the people who are having the issue? Do they all have the same email domain? Or is there some other unifying characteristic that suggests it might not just be Outlook that's the issue?

We've started using Agical which is a web service that you can use as a regular link in your e-mails. You can add tokens to the URL to make the file fully flexible as well as add event reminders, all day events, and even use it in a CTA button like you would a regular link. It's a great tool created by our very own @sanfordwhiteman - I recommend it!
