Can I change the data type type of Original Source Info to text instead of textarea? This will help with a report I am building in Salesforce.com.

This field can be set up as a "string" rather than text area without consequence, so this should be fine: you may not be able to change the type in Marketo, but you can change it within Salesforce.

I don't think you can change this field type in SF (Option "change field type does not show up), what we did is create another custom field called "Original source info (custom)" with text type and updated it with Workflow. There's no need to sync this field into Marketo. This way you can use it in list views and reports.
