Operational emails and ignoring unsubscribe settings

When we send emails outside of MSI, will the unsubscribe status be ignored?  I noticed this on the operational email settings. So in other words, if we set up a program within Marketo (not sent via MSI) will our leads that have "unsubscribed" be sent the email or will their unsubscribe status be incorporated so they do not receive the emails?

    If the email is set to operational, Marketo will bypass the unsubscribes. So yes, they will get it, even outside MSI.

    If you mark an Email Asset as Operational, MSI will be able to bypass Unsubscribed=T

    So don't do that if you do not want Sales to send Operational emails.

    In Admin > Sales Insight there is a setting to allow removal of Unsubscribe from MSI emails. Make sure you keep that setting so all Sales emails are given the correct footer. Sales should NOT send Operational emails.

    Thanks Josh, but what about those emails that are sent outside of MSI? If Operational is selected will Marketo know to overwrite the unsubscribes?  Thank you.
