Question

Number clicked is different from email summary

I'm finding a strange discrepancy and hoping someone can explain. I'm looking at the email tab in a smart campaign that went out last week. The total clicked is 546. However when I run a smart list for the number of clicked in the email I get 366. I have not indicated any specific links in my smart list, just clicked overall. Why the difference??

Could it be a discrepancy between total clicks and unique clicks?

This is a well known issue. Please do a search for the cause.

If I recall correctly it is something similar to how the data is pulled:

  • smart list looks at # of leads that clicked at least X times on a link.
  • Email Performance looks at time frame as well as any Smart List restrictions. It may also change depending on leads removed from the database.
  • Unique clicks may be an issue, or sort of related. You cannot get this directly anyway.
