Multivariate Testing for Emails

We have an email that's going out to our entire database, and we'd love to split test subject line *and* content. That means 4 versions in total.

Subject line A + Content A

Subject line B + Content A

Subject line A + Content B

Subject line B + Content B

What's the easiest way of performing this test? I'm thinking it's probably going to have to be done manually by creating two separate email campaigns and A/B test in both. Is there a better solution?

James

Hi James,

Just use an A/B test (either in an email program or a champion challenger) type: full email (it will enable you vary both the content and the object) and 4 variants. You will have all the stats you need.

Thanks Greg - it wasn't immediately obvious to me that you could test more than 2 whole emails. Thanks!
