Multiple API Users

Howdy community -

I am running a proof of concept with three potential vendors. They will be accessing my Marketo instance using an API user account. They will be analyzing data within the system and not inserting nor exporting data. Should I set up an individual API user for each? or can they share the same API user ID?

Also, I already have multiple users using their own API user IDs. Should I continue having multiples or take the list down to one? Thanks for your insights.

You should certainly have different API users for your competing vendors.  Give yourself an audit trail and the ability to disable them separately.

As long as you know where all your IDs are being used (i.e. to manage the effect of a generating a new key) be as granular as possible.

Always multiples.
