MSIContactId - Does anyone know what this field is?

I can't find any resource explaining what this is.  I saw a post from over a year ago asking about it that went unanswered.  I'll take another shot to see if anyone knows...
 

What is the MSIContactID field?

This is a custom SFDC field, but it is mapped to the Marketo created SFDC field "mkto_si__MSIContactId__c (SFDC Lead)".  The field contains no data and I can't find a reference to thiit in the help articles.  Can this field be removed from SFDC and hidden in Marketo?

Marketo Sales Insight Id - this is the identification for the contact's MSI in SFDC. You can hide the field in Marketo via the field management section of Admin.
