MSI install overwriting Dynamics CRM 2013 Sitemap

Hi,

I imported the Marketo Sales Insight Solutions into our Dynamics CRM 2013.

After publishing all customizations and completing the Sales Insight setup we notices that our entire CRM SiteMap was overwritten.

We had customized it according to our needs, so that all the custom entities were easily accessible.

Has anyone had a similar issue in the past?

Would really appreciate your inputs.

Thanks,

Vishal

Unfortunately we had the same thing. We were originally just told that we needed to keep track of what it was and rebuild. The semi-nice thing is that the plugin for Sales Insight doesn't update everytime, so you shouldn't have to keep rebuilding that often.

You might want to make sure these CRM customizations that you make to the forms, etc. are saved in a solution so you can reimport them at will, as opposed to redoing them every time you install MSI. (Because uninstalling and reinstalling the solution is a common troubleshooting technique; I'd anticipate that happening again in the future.)

Kristen - is this a common issue across all CRM platforms, or just MS Dynamics?
