Moving to SFDC! What should I keep in mind for a smooth transition?

I've recently learned that my company is making the switch from SAP to SFDC. We're super psyched about the change. We're looking at an early 2020 integration, so I'm getting to work on building a scope of requirements for the project. To ensure a smooth transition, are there any tips and tricks you would recommend I keep in mind for moving everything over?
