Hello Marketo peeps -

We need to identify cookies on our site, for our GDPR PMO. We’re unsure how to answer the questions they’ve posed. I've submitted a ticket and also sent to the privacy officer email, per supports suggestion. Getting no where.

The attached has the cookie names and domains that we’ve identified from Marketo; on bnymellon.com

We need help with identifying 1, 2 and 3 below for the following Cookies: (all the cookies here are on the domain, .marketo.com - except "_ga"  it is on: .app-sj10.marketo.com --> guessing something Google Analytics?

  • _A_source
  • firstTouchGA
  • _A_time
  • ids_sso
  • _ga
  • LPSID-57966270
  • LPVID

  1. Category (options)
    • Essential
    • Functional
    • Performance
    • Targeting
    • Combination
  2. Reason for Cookie Category Selected
    1. Open field to input description regarding category
  3. Is Cookie session or Persistent?

TIA for your insight and help!

ERica

Hi Erica,

Marketo cookie name is _mkto_trk

_A_source and _A_time obvisously go together. I have never seen them.

ids_sso is obvisouly a single Sign On cookie (that enables you to avoid having the need to login to a portal...)

firstTouchGA is probably a custom cookie that probably stores first touch info from G. Analytics.

LPSID cookies are from the Liveperson app, AFAIK. see Introduction | LivePerson APIs

None of these are relevant to Marketo and GDPR.

Marketo's tracking cookie is _mkto_trk. It's a persistent cookie that lasts for 2 years (by default) after last use.
