Mining Auto Replies for Out of Office Messages

Does anyone know of a tool that can read auto reply emails for out of offices messages? We would like to be able to automate the process of reviewing these emails for the out of office dates so those contacts can be suppressed during the time they are away and reactivated when they return.

There are a several options, with differing balance of complexity + cost.

For example:

  • Drift Email, formerly Siftrock — costs $$$ but is prepackaged for this purpose
  • ThinkAutomation — costs $$, requires developer, can be used for many other purposes besides email processing
  • AWS SES — costs $, requires a developer/architect who knows their way around AWS and how to set up outbound API connection

Generally the build-your-own AWS approach will be cheapest over time since after the initial setup cost you only have to pay (pennies) for the inbound emails.  The others have recurring costs.
