Merge Fields and their Values

Hello there, 

we have several fields that are used for capturing the same information (which were created throught the years that Marketo is used).
Is there any way that i can merge these fields and their values, so that i can keep one master for each, without loosing the values of the others? A mass update would be ideal, but if not possible i could go the manual way as well...

Afterwards i would like to archive the extra fields, so that they wont be able to be updated or used again.

But I suspect your fields will be custom fields so you can try your field in the token format or open an email editor and find the exact token and copy it from there. 

In your campaigns your smart list should be specific to filter in only records that you want to change then your flow will be a change data value where in the box to the left you will specify the name of the fields that you want to update and in the box to the right you will paste in the token that represent the field from whcih you want to pull the value.

Then when you want to hide the fields afterwards yo can follow the steps here:

You should be able to run smart camapigns to populate a master field with a value from one of the other fields using the the token representing the field in a change data value flow action.

Afterwards, the fields that you want to archive can be hidden via the field management section in Admin

Thank you Cathal. That sounds like a solution to my problem.
Can i find somewhere instructions on how to do that?
Or if you could give some more details, it would be great!!
