Merge and Acquisition Program Problems

When I merge two duplicate records, I do not like the fact that an empty acquisition program of the earlier lead takes on the value from the most recent record. Is there a way to prevent this from happening? It is giving credit to programs where no credit is due

The wizard doesn't let you choose?

Doesn't look like you can manually adjust. Talk to Support or setup an Idea.

Hi Naor,

When you merge two leads in your Marketo instance, you have the option to select and decide which value you want to keep. You can decide whether you need to update the most recent record or just keep the old one.

However, once the leads are merged, the values will remain same for all the programs where they have been used.

This is true when there are TWO conflicting values. But when one lead has no value for Acquisition Program, the merge function will automatically take the existing (sometimes inaccuretly most recent) value. This is a problem.

Naor, you are completely right about this.  You do not get the option to select the acqusition program when one of the values is NULL.  It just updates the value with the other record's value.
