MDX Expressions in RCE

Hi,

RCE module allows to create custom MDX expressions. It works well as long as it is about simple expressions but I have an issue building some more sophisticated ones. For that matter, we need to have the exact name of a cube member that is usually decribed as (if I remember ...) [Dimension].[Hierarchy].[Parents].[member ID] or close.

Where can I find this info? Or is there an editor I missed?

    Hi Christine,

    Unfortunately,most of RCE's MDX capabilities are swept under the rug--and it's always been a sore point for me that the tech RCE is based on allows for MDX queries but RCE strips this.

    With the new UI update, it looks like perhaps even the ability to format output via MDX has been removed? The closest I can find is the Calculated Measure editor prompt. At any rate, it used to be much more prominent.

      Hi Courtney,

      Yep, seems that only measures are "accessible". Too bad, because MDX can be so powerful and flexible! Now I end up with 6 reports that I have to export in Excel and consolidate instead of one straightforward query.

      I am new to Marketo, so I am not sure about the other reporting capabilities. But to me, there are quite a few things missing in RCE.

      Cubes can be sooo lovely!
