Marketo unsubscribes not syncing with Salesforce

Hi team,

My organization has been using Marketo for a couple months, and we recently noticed that Marketo unsubscribes are not syncing back to Salesforce. Any tips on how we can get this bidirectional sync to happen automatically?

I've stumbled upon a few help articles that talk about ToutApp, which we do not have - i.e. How Unsubscribe Syncing with Salesforce Works - ToutApp - Product Documentation

Hi Navin,

leave toutapp out of this

Marketo Unsubscribed field automatically syncs with the lead's and contact's "HasOptedOutOfEmail" field (which standard field label is "Email Opt Out").

  1. Make sure you are using this field in SFDC and not a custom one
  2. Make sure the Marketo sync user has read/write access to this field.
