Here's the Friday Five (minute updates):

Here's a website you might find helpful. Do you know that Marketo has a website full of great templates you can use? Check it out

You can find templates that you can import into your email, landing pages, or directly into your Marketo account.

Enjoy.

Implementing Responsive Landing Pages in Marketo require some HTML/CSS understanding. You can see some posts on how to achieve them from Edward Unthank @ Yesler - https://community.marketo.com/MarketoDiscussionDetail?id=90650000000PcgZAAS.

However, responsive emails are a breeze. To the specific comment on android phones - do note that the gmail app on android phones doesnt support media queries. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/13604300/responsive-emails-on-gmail-app-android.

All the email templates on the templates marketplace use the Ink framework http://zurb.com/ink/ - which uses media queries to determine device size - unfortunately some devices do not support the mediaquery call.

Madeline:

Good to hear from you. All the templates should be responsive. Hope this helps!

Hi Scott! I actually created a case with support on this a few days ago and the response was that Marketo doesn't currently support responsive landing page formats. Can you clarify?

I havent done a responsive landing page yet, but I purchased a responsive email template on Theme Forest, and (heavily) modified it to work in Marketo. That was a TON of work, but worth it. Maybe you can do the same thing with a landing page template. Responsive is table stakes. I'm looking for the day when Marketo gives us a template builder that does not involve me hand coding everything. Id love if you guys would spend time on that instead of adding templates to this gallery. I am not likely to use any of them anyway.

Madeline:
Thank you for the heads up. Let me work with the Support team on this.

Brand (and Debra F):
Good feedback. Did you suggest this in the ideas section? If not, I will forward it onto the product team.

I tested a few email templates and found that they don't actually work in many cases. For example, if you open the responsive email on an Android phone it's not responsive. Be careful before launching and do lots of testing would be my advice.

In addition to templates - there are a number of other objects in the template library including social media icons, facebook tabs etc.

The program library in Marketing also contains a number of ready to use programs including webinar nurture programs, lifecycle engagement, lead scoring programs, early stage lead nurture, and late stage nurture programs that you can use to get started quickly.

Unfortunately, the new guy (me) gave you slightly inaccurate information. Sorry about that. Here's an update from our product team:
  • Our only responsive templates are those for emails
  • Responsive designs for our landing pages is possible, but can not be done with the Landing Page editor.
  • You can always cut an d paste your own responsive code into a template

If there's some additional functionality you would like, please suggest it to our team in our Ideas section of the Community.

Hope this helps!
