Marketo > SFDC campaign sync not working

Has anyone ever had a case where campaign members stop syncing from Marketo to SFDC?

In this case there was a program level sync, and at some point they stopped the sync, and did a flow step sync, then switched back to program level, now every week they have to run a flow level sync in order to get their leads across.

Would switching between the program level and flow step sync, break the connection?

Yes.

You have to pick one or the other. What probably happened is marketo doesn't like it when a Program is synced to SFDC Campaign and then you try to Add to SFDC Campaign within Program w/o disconnecting. But Disconnecting isn't always a good idea.

I would just build a new Program with a smart campaign.
