Marketo RTP Recommendation Engine browser compatibility

We have the engine implement on our site, but we can not get it to display on internet explorer 11 or safari for iphone.   It works great in every other browser. I've tried multiple browser settings, compatibility mode and tried moving the script around in the DOM.  Does anyone else have a similar issue?  Has anyone else resolved this issue?  Any help is appreciated.
