Marketo Leads Syncing to SFDC Campaign

I'm looking to sync Marketo and SFDC campaigns but want to ensure that the leads we have in Marketo only, don't get pushed through to Salesforce on the campaign sync - but at the right stage.

Is it possible to have a synced Marketo/SFDC campaign and keep leads in Marketo only?

    Hey Lauren,

    To accomplish this you will need to have the SFDC campaign created, and only use the Add to SFDC Campaign flow steps, not the sync 'connection' at the program level.

    Hi Dory,

    AFAIL, you also need the SFDC campaign to be active.

    Hey Greg,

    We don't have any of our campaign syncs active (we do turn them on to create the campaign sometimes as it's faster than creating in SFDC), but we don't keep any of ours active due to not wanting to sync as soon as someone is a member of the program.
