Hi,

I hope someone can help me. I am trying to tracking the conversions on a form that loads to a new page and retain the utms of the person who got to the page.

My landing page (with ont of the utms): visioncritical.com/value-of-co-creation?utm_campaign=IdeaHub+Webinar&utm_medium=Website&utm_source=Homepage&utm_content=banner

M
y form url: http://info.mkto.visioncritical.com/ideahub-webinar-a-12-13-new.html

My thank you page: visioncritical.com/value-of-co-creation-thankyou

Thank you form: http://info.mkto.visioncritical.com/IdeaHubWebinar-12-13-ty.html

In Google Analytics I have set up a goal of getting from /value-of-co-creation to /value-of-co-creation-thankyou which is working but I get the referrer of info.mkto.visioncritical.com instead of it bringing through the utms?

I have both domains under the same GA js code.

Anyone know why this is the case?

Cheers,
Bec

I think you may need to manually set the sub-domain "info.mkto.visioncritical.com" us as a sub-domain of visioncritical.com in the GA account...

Hey Bec,

What's occurring here is the redirected page is taking the referrer of the iframe which your form is sitting in, and in this case, it does not have any of those URL parameters in its referrer URL.  There is some Javascript wizardry that can be done to get around this, but I think the far easier method would be to remove the form from the iframe and place it directly on the page.  Instructions for this method are here: https://community.marketo.com/MarketoArticle?id=kA050000000KyqgCAC

If you follow the method and embed the form into the page itself, will you lose out on any progressive profiling functionality?

Yes...but with that said you could i-frame the Marketo form on its own page and have progressive profiling. Also Markeo is about to release a feature called forms 2.0 that may help....

has forms 2.0 been launched? I usually i-frame in the forms for the reasons mentioned, but would prefer to embed them.
