Marketo and Salesforce UTM best practices

Happy Friday!

Does anyone have best practices as to how to configure Marketo and Salesforce UTM. We are currently utilizing the medium and source and I would like to add these into Salesforce. Should it go in as a column--one for source, another for medium, under campaign history? 

My main goal is for sales to be able to know where they are coming from (either be social or advertisement, email, etc) and any keywords we might use.
