Managing Contacts from Target Accounts as Leads

I am currently trying to figure out a way to effectively manage leads from target accounts without using contact householding.
I thought of possibly using unique codes for each buyer profile and a unique code per account and then export to run a gap analysis but it seems tedious.
Does anyone have any other great ways of doing this?

I have seen others on the boards recommend Lean Data (http://www.leandatainc.com/) for routing leads to target accounts. I did a demo with them the other week and the solution seems designed for what you are looking for. Worth checking out.

when you say manage and run a gap analysis, what are you really trying to do?
  • match contacts to accounts?
  • understand contact count per Account?
  • match data against third party provider?
  • associate contaccts to Accounts?
  • run campaigns per Account?

I want to be able to run reports on what personas/contact type is missing from each account. also to be able to segment by each person per account with relying on exact data.
These will all be leads not contacts under accounts - so the association isnt easy.
