Losing Content in Local Asset Email

Hello-

We created emails (unique content and images) under our Programs from our Email Templates. However, now all of the local asset emails have reverted back to the template version again (all unique information is gone). Our designer made some changes to our email templates, so I'm wondering if this is why we lost the content in our emails. The emails were still in draft form and had not been approved when the changes to the templates were made.

Has anyone else had this problem or know how we can get our content back? I have a feeling we are going to have to rebuild everything.

Thanks,
Kelsey

I think that changing a template while there is an existing draft version can cause problems.

OK, thanks. That must have been the problem because they were all drafts.

Elliott Lowe is right, the draft will inherit the changes made to the template.

Once the email is approved, you will notice any changes to the template will set the email to "Approved with draft".
The approved version of that email remains intact until you approve the draft set by the updated template.
