Links in an email

Hey there
I often use the same link several times in an email. I link an image, headline and a CTA button with the same link as its all related.

When I go into 'Show link stats' in the email, it shows the same stats for all the places I added the link to.

But this is just tracking this one particular link. Not were people actually clicked.. if they clicked more on the image than the CTA button for example?

Do I need to make unique links for the same link?

Thanks

Did you try adding a custom parameter to your Links? This could be enough to get Marketo to report on each element seperately. Not 100% sure though - it should be tested.
Ex: Link 1 http://www.yourdomain.com/home?src=email_title
Ex: Link 2 http://www.yourdomain.com/home?src=email_image
Ex: Link 3 http://
www.yourdomain.com/home?src=email_body

No I haven't tried that yet as I was hoping Marketo had some tricks to do this :)
Thanks David

Like David said, you can even add something like ?1 or ?2 after each of the links (with their own numbers) so that they're tracked individually. The descriptor will definitely help you to know which link is which without referring back to the email itself, though.
