Linking a person with multiple companies

Hi All,

I am brand new to marketo world.

 

I would like to know if there is a way of linking a person to multiple companies. I am not sure if there already is a functionality for that or there must be a customization involved? If extra configuration/customization is needed, is there a suggestion of the best way to achieve this goal?

I assume you're talking about Marketo's built-in Company API. Not the CRM concept of Companies/Accounts.

 

A Lead has a single Marketo Company association via the externalCompanyId.

 

If you want a Lead to be linked to multiple company-like objects, you need to use a Marketo Custom Object that fills that purpose.
