Landing Page Mobile Version Activation

What will happen if I choose to atomatically active a mobile version of my landing page.  The message says there is a template upgrade needed and will affect all my landing pages.  I just want to understand the impact of choosing to active this feature.

By my understanding, the conversion is really just to make the template code HTML5 compliant.  I have not heard of this having any visible impact on the desktop version of existing landing pages, but if you want to be extra cautious, you could clone your template, and then clone a landing page to test converting before you convert the template that all of your live pages are on.
