Keeping Recycled Leads in Marketo

I stumbled into an issue recently where I was moving all leads with status = recycle to the marketing nurture queue. While I intended for these to stay in Marketo, they were all pushed to Salesforce - ugh! Is there a way to make sure recycled leads stay in Marketo and dont go to Salesforce until they come out of recycle status (move to MQL)? Also, when the sales team recycles a lead, can I delete in Salesforce, push back to Marketo and assign to the nurture queue?

Yes, you could do this. It partially depends on the MQL push workflow (when does Marketo push to SFDC?)

Create a Campaign like "On Recycle"

Data Value Changes IS Lead Status = Recycle

Then

Delete Lead in SFDC, Delete in Marketo=False
Whatever else you want.

Hey Josh,

How does this work sfdc sync?

So for example a lead with "no potential" (our recycling status), fills out a form that is automatically synced to SFDC, will they stay out of sfdc since their status is a rejected type?
