Is there a way to display "seats left" or "tickets left" as an event fills up?

We have a landing page set up for a specific event. On it, we have a form that is used to track all the people that sign up for the event. Is there a way to "cap" the registrants, or send an alert once a threshold has been reached?

Natively, no. 

There is a paid add-on from Marketo; if your volume is low (< 100K registrants/no) you can use a free webhook-driven service.
