Is it possible to use a self hosted dynamic template?

We are building out a weekly newsletter and the template will adjust with different links/logos depending on user preferences. There will be other programatic changes (like which articles get associated images).

Our plan was to create a template hosted somewhere with access to these different things and allow Marketo to grab this template at key points.

I have seen other companies do this well, but it includes a manual copy of the template/content over into Marketo before anything can be sent. I would like to remove the manual aspect of this entirely.

Am I barking up the wrong tree or can someone point me in the right direction.

Toby,

You could pull different sections of your email in from sources that are hosted outside of Marketo. For example you don't HAVE to host all of your images on the Marketo server. I have heard through that can marginally impact your spam score.

Really depends on the use case. If you can host it all in Marketo, that would be ideal.
