Question

Is everyone using profiles and page layouts to manage Sales Insight visibility?

We are trying to minimize the number of profiles and page layouts to manage.  Has anyone figured out a way to do this?

Our SFDC Developer thought perhaps we could create a VF page for the Sales Insight window to sit in and manage visibility that way, but our Marketo Rep couldn't tell us if that would work or is 'acceptible' or not.  Any thoughts out there?

Profiles and page layouts is how we are doing it.  I think the Sales insight window is an embedded Visual Force page, so you may be able to display it on a dedicated VF page.

If you don't keep SI on the lead/contact pages, then your sales team will never see it or care about it. You might as well forget installing it then.

It's true, that's just how salespeople are when you introduce a new thing. MSI needs to be a seamless integration while you train them to take advantage of it. They will not click 2 or 3 times just to try it out.

You may consider permission sets as these can stack into collections of permissions and managed correctly would consolidate your dependencies.
