Invite Differences in Chrome vs Internet Explorer

Is there a way to build an invite in Marketo and have it appear the same in Chrome and in Internet Explorer? My invite looks great in Chrome (the browser I'm using to build it), but when switching over to Explorer, the formatting is completely different.

What are some tips & tricks to dealing with this problem?

are we talking about emails or landing pages?

I'd check with an html coder who can help. IE implements some tags differently, especially older versions. There aren't any obvious tricks other than to troubleshoot it.
