Interesting Moments vs Web Activity

Question

Is there any advantage to enabling the activity sync in Marketo as opposed to using Interesting Moments for what seems to be a more detailed display of info in SFDC?

I mean, if it's more or less redundant and just pushing more data into SFDC unnecessarily it seems kind of useless comparatively. What am I missing?

Some companies have detailed Activity reporting structures and choose to log info that way. Personally, it was chewing through my storage space so I turned off all but Email logging. Interesting Moments work fine for my team.
