Integrating SurveyMonkey via a Webhook?

We'd like to create surveys with SurveyMonkey, and track responses in Marketo. It looks like SurveyMonkey isn't fully integrated into Marketo via Launchpoint yet (at least, it isn't as of this discussion in Sept. 2014: https://community.marketo.com/MarketoDiscussionDetail?id=90650000000Pw47AAC), but I'm wondering if using a webhook would be a viable workaround. Has anyone else done this, and will it work?

Webhooks isnt going to be the best bet here.....

That said, here's a third party integration that says they do it, probably through rest api.

What is it that you're trying to accomplish? Are you trying to get the data from survey money onto the lead record?

Yes, that's what I'd like to do - perhaps create a field that their survey answers filter into.

This is not helpful if you are deeply committed to Survey Monkey but Fluid Surveys (http://fluidsurveys.com/) has an SFDC integration that can both read and write data from any standard or custom object. 

Example, you could create a "Survey Responses" object tied to the contact and store all their data in there over time. 

Worth checking out if you have that flexibility.

Thanks, Justin! Would this integration update the lead record in Marketo as well, or just to SFDC?

Hey Kari, if you update fields on the lead in SFDC it will synch over to Marketo as well.

Thinking ahead..you may want to control your content more with what you post to Marketo.  Otherwise webhook away:)
