Importing updates to my lead database file

Hi:

When I update my leads database (thorugh the List Import Program), I know that the leads will be de-duped. My question is this. If a customer is in both lists, but the customer type changes from let's say "C"  for current to "N" (no longer a customer), will the lead data for that lead change? That is, since the email address is the same, if other fields change, will it use the new lead data?  Or, is email address the only thing that is examined here?  I hope that made sense.

Hey Paul,
As long as you do not change the setting on the List Import to "Skip new leads and updates", Marketo will dedupe based on email address and update all information on the lead to what is in the list you are importing. So, in your example, the "Type" field will be updated from 'C' to 'N'.
