Importing leads from Salesforce to Marketo

I am importing about 38,000 leads from Saleforce into Marketo. I will take over 4 hours. Is that normal for such a large list?  Am I doing something wrong? Thank you!

This is not unusual for such a large number of leads.

Factors influencing the time an import can take:
1. File size (rows x columns)
2. Databse size (the bigger the DB the more checks Marketo has to do)
3.The number of trigger camapaigns running that could trigger as a result of a creation, update or add to list.
4.Like any SaaS the number of imports being performed at the same time.
