import list - de-duplication process with SFDC

General de-dup question,

If I have a sync to SFDC process in my program and when I import a static list into Marketo, it will automatically make sure that I have no existing leads OR contacts in Marketo AND SFDC?

Will it check my contacts in salesforce as well?

Hi David,

Marketo will deduplicate IF and only IF the contacts are in Marketo, not is they are located in SFDC only.

Just to confirm, it will deduplicate within lists if those leads and contacts are within marketo
