Impact on Other Domains When Moving from Shared IP to Dedicated IP

Hi Community,

We are planning to move our Marketo instance from a shared IP to a dedicated IP setup. Our instance currently includes multiple domains. We would like to understand how multiple domains can be managed under a single instance once we move to a dedicated IP.

Would appreciate any guidance or experiences from others who have handled a similar configuration.

Thanks,

Same way they are with a shared IP, via virtual hosts and DNS aliases (LP domains and branding domains).

Thanks for the clarification!

Just to confirm, with the dedicated IP warm-up for our primary domain, the deliverability or configuration of the other domains in our instance will not be affected, right?

Also, are there any specific precautions we should take during the warm-up to ensure the other domains remain unaffected, or is this handled automatically by Marketo?

Feels like we just changed the topic to IP warming? No, you can’t guarantee that deliverability for your other domains on the same IP won’t be affected. The whole IP could get blocklisted due to poor behavior during warming!

Of course if your warming plan is well thought out, this is unlikely to happen.
