Images Added Via Email Editor Are Broken

I'm working in a new Marketo instance for a client and whenever I try to add an image to an email via the email editor it shows up as broken.

It adds the image in the code via http, if I go into the code and change it to https then it appears just fine.

I can't find a way to force the email editor to upload and add images via https and have no idea why this is happening on this instance only. It doesn't happen on other instances that use http for image sources.

Any ideas/tips?

If you look at Admin » Landing Pages » Domain Name, is the primary domain displayed with https://?

And under Options on the same page, does it say "Use Secure Pages: Yes"?

We aren't using a custom subdomain for landing pages, we're using Marketo's. So all those fields are blank currently.

There's also no option for "Use Secure Pages: Yes".

My other clients are all using http for their domain settings and images in emails are showing up just fine.

Images are being linked to from http://na-ab31.marketo.com currently.

I'm assuming it's my browser is blocking the image from loading due to mixed content error (loading http images on an https connection) but this doesn't happen with my other clients that do have custom domains set and http for the images.

Is the solution to just set a custom domain and move on/

Yes, I consider a Marketo instance without a custom domain to be not set up.
