If leads are merged in Salesforce, do they also merge in MKTO?

Our reps merge duplicates in Salesforce. I'm checking that these merges will reflect in Marketo as well.

The intended behavior is that they merge on the Marketo side as well, after being merged in SFDC.  We're going through a mass merge exercise and the Marketo and SFDC databases should mirror eachother when done.
