Ideas or recommendations on better managing Junk Leads?

I am currently using some common smart list filters such as:

* Email address contains: www.,*,&,^,%,&,#,@,!,?,http//,cheapdiscounted,fake OR
* First Name not contains: a,e,i,o,u,y,w OR
* Last Name not contains: a,e,i,o,u,y,w

But we are still getting in all sorts of garbage!

Hi Suzanne,

Is there a particular source most of the junk leads are coming from? That would determine our advice regarding how to resolve.
Also, I'm guessing you included it by mistake with the other symbols, but I advise against eliminating leads which have @ in their email address ;)
If you have a significant number of spam leads coming in from a form, I recommend submitting a support case so we can help you look for a pattern and find a solution.

StrikeIron is an integrated LaunchPoint partner that could help address this problem.

StrikeIron works by verifying an email address is valid and can receive messages in real-time during form fill. This should reduce the number of junk leads that enter your lead database.

You can create a smart list with those variations and monitor it until you are confident you have the pattern, then setup a workflow to auto delete those.
