Marketo Email Designer is escaping the slash in one </style> closing tag during send-time HTML processing — is there a known issue, or workaround, for HTML email templates with multiple user-managed <style> blocks?

Just want to confirm with you -- have you diagnosed/attempted to fix the issue using the HTML view? Is the issue present at the template level, or only at the email level?

@ChristianeRo1 it happens once I save the HTML template. Even if I clean up the HTML and resave, it gets edited again. It is happening at the template level and corrupting the style blocks.

Just asking a few more clarifying questions -- does this mean you’re importing your HTML when building your template? Is this legacy HTML that’s coming from somewhere where it previously worked as expected?

@Liz_Malinowski are you using the template importer in the New Email Designer to convert your previous template to be compatible in the new environment?

If you are using the “Import HTML” button in the “Design your template” section, instead try to pull in the template in using the “Marketo Templates” tab just below and see if you experience the same issue.
