Question

How would I embed a form into a website which would send emails through Marketo?

I'm totally new to Marketo and want to embed a form into a web page. After submission I'd like to send an email based on the inputs of the form. Is this possible?

This is very simple and doable. This is 101 level stuff.

Create a landing page.

Add a form.

Create a smart campaign listening for that form to be filled out.

In the flow, send the email.

First create the form and approve it. Then create the landing page, add the form and approve it. Then create the email and approve it. Then create the smart campaign and activate it on a trigger (orange smart list action with a lightning bolt icon) and put the email in the flow step.

Test it out and launch.

What about when it's NOT a Marketo Landing Page, but rather a website page with an embed Contact Us form?  Obviously we can track form fill outs in Marketo based on the form, but trying to figure out the logic with an embed form on a non-Marketo LP.   I may be answering my own question here...so we embed a form and want to link any form fill-outs to a specific email address that will receive the alert.   We need a campaign in Marketo listening on a trigger for that form on that web page correct?  Then we send the alert to that specific email.   I feel like I'm needing a bit more to this scenario, like the embed code itself, does it require smart campaigns in Marketo?   It's not like you just give someone the embed code and say good day!

You should open a new thread: adding to old threads means things get lost in future searches, and you'll never be able to mark responses as Correct (since you are not the thread owner).

The short answer: yes, you need a Smart Campaign, otherwise the Filled Out Form activity will not result in a follow-up alert. But there isn't anything else to do (aside from organizing your programs, of course).
