How to use the "import a program" feature for common programs

Our instance consists of 23 workspaces.  If we were able to pre-build common programs for our marketers to use, the "import a program" feature would allow us to make it that much easier to scale our programs across workspaces (vs. cloning a program into a separate folder; removing local assets; moving that folder to another workspace; and then customizing it for their needs).  Is this even possible, or are we limited to the "Marketo Program Library" subscription?

Hi Dan,

You can have a sandbox subscription and connect this to your production subscription.  However, when you go down the Import Program path, the user importing has to pick a Campaign folder to place the program.  This would be a flat list of all folders across all subscriptions.  So while this is possible, it might be confusing to the end user if they see folders not visible in their workspace.

Hope this helps!

Thanks,
Cheryl

Thanks Cheryl.  Would it be possible to to make the programs within a centralized templates folder available here?  Or does this feature only support adding subscriptions outside of our production environment?  It would save us so much time for our users to import a program that is aleady pre-built with the core components instead of using the tedious cloning feature between workspaces.

I am experiencing the same challenge. I am trying to streamline efforts for my users and this would be a huge benefit. I am unclear how to connect the sandbox subscription to production. Are there any resources out there available to walk me through this?

Support can connect your sandbox with your production account.  Please give them a call and ask them to do so.
